Bear Valley hot springs is located in the Boise National Forest, Frank Church River of No Return wilderness. It is NW of Lowman, near Stanley off of Hwy. 21. The hot springs is also located near Blue Bunch Mountain which stands at 8734 ft.

This trip started out as a trip to Glacier National Park, then went to a Pettit Lake trip. Jay had some work obligations, as did Brad. Jay, Doug, and I started the trip out and had to leave Brad behind. Just outside of Stanley we had the idea to head to Bear Valley and have Brad join us. Thank goodness there is a liquor store in Stanley.
